Bill review reports are often used by insurer
payors who seek a detailed review of charges on
claims that appear excessive.

H.H.C. Group has a Medical Review Department that performs detailed line-by-line bill reviews of health care bills. A bill review is a report performed by a nurse itemizing billing errors to include “upcoding and unbundling” or other questionable billing practices. This report does not reduce your bill, but provides substantiated findings of billing errors that the consumer may present to the provider in an ongoing provider bill dispute.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Complete this LINE ITEM REVIEW AUTHORIZATION FORM and FAX, email, or express mail all bills along with the Authorization Form to the address at the bottom of this page.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

35% of identified errors
For example, if we find that a $2,000.00 bill contained $650.00 in identified billing errors, we charge you $227.50 for our report (35% of $650.00).

SECOND MEDICAL OPINION

A second medical opinion is a second opinion on the medical issue presented, provided by a medical provider (Physician) who is board certified in the appropriate specialty. If you want a second medical opinion, we can locate a board certified physician in that appropriate specialty. Charges for this service vary depending on physician hourly rates. INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EXAM APPOINTMENT (IME)

IME appointments are scheduled with the appropriate medical specialist whenever the patient is requested to physically present themselves for further evaluation and can include arrangements for a translator, transportation, or lodging.
